Crazy Spring

Buddha or Jesus?

My colleague’s kids went to Hong Kong and brought a mini Buddha back as a gift for their mom. This little cute statue is no bigger than several centimetres high, wearing a lilac gown and has such an extremely happy face that I wondered if anyone can resist not laughing out when they see it.

There’s no doubt that everyone loves it very much. It’s not only because it’s a gift from kids, it also represents love, peace, inner happiness and a positive attitude towards the life out there.

I am not into any religion (but it doesn’t mean that I am not into any philosophy). But having had seen this little thing, I pretty much have decided that if one day I had to go to any religion (like I am forced to choose one), I would go to Buddhism instead of Christianity.

You asked me “why”? Well…., Can’t you see the difference between our two holy teachers’ two faces? By the way, no one can tell if Buddha is male or femal; also, Buddha probably needs to lose a bit weight :-)

Job List

For some reason, probably out of curiosity, I made a list of all the paid jobs that I have done in my life. So on the paper, I can see this:

· Writer ……108 months
· Human Resource Officer…… 39 months
· Piano Teacher ……36 months
· AIN ……27 months
· Psychological Evaluator and Counsellor …..24 months
· Administrative Officer ……19 months
· Translator ……18 months
· Psychology Teacher in Uni ……18 months
· Care Planner ……8 months
· Primary School Holiday Camp Teacher ……3 months (2 school holidays)
· Take-away Shop assistant, Kitchen Hand, Dishwashing Hand and Waitress ……2 months
· Stationery and Cards Sale Assistant ……1 month
· Car Exhibition Assistant ……3 days

Have you ever done this sort of list before? It gives you a brand new angle to look at who you are and what aspect you are good at or what experience that you really have. Most of people thought that they already know exactly who they are and what they have done? But believe it or not, you could be very wrong.

I found it very interesting to see how differently the things that I have been thinking in my mind actually turned out in writing on a piece of paper. Let the facts tell~!

Back to Work

I am really used to the way how I have been living in the past several days since I sprained my ankle. Now it’s time to get back to the real life out there. But the thing is, I DON”T REALLY WANT TO….. :-(

I went to the office without taking my crutches this morning as I felt so much better that I could actually walk on the tips of my left foot toes. Well, after I got to the office, I was first treated with stretchy bandage, and then with lots of orders from my colleagues prohibiting me walking around and hopping on my good foot. Then people pushed me sitting on my chair to get me moved. They also kindly helped me heat up my lunch box in the lunch time. I was given the order to bring my crutches tomorrow; otherwise they are going to smack my bum. What sort of nice people they are!!!

Anyway, that’s not all about it. Something exciting was happening this morning. We’ve got new computers coming on aboard. Finally we got rid of the giant and stupid screen and replaced it with 19’ flat screen and a cordless mouse with a cute charger.

Now with only two days left ahead before I will have another long weekend across through till next Tuesday, my week just couldn’t be more perfect.

The Middle Autumn Festival

Berry-in-a-Box pattern

Like the Berry-in-a-Box pattern I knitted?…. Just started working on this Origami Cardi today. It feels so good to knit this 8 row’s pattern as a deep border. Thought it’s gonna be hard before I started, but it turned out that knitting it gives me more visual interest than technical difficulty. I can’t belive that with only a couple of hours, I have already consumed one 50g ball’s yarn and finished one sleeve border. Seems like I will be able to finish the whole project by the time the summer begins.
